Dillsboro Dillsboro N.C. is truly the crossroads of western North Carolina. Just 15 minutes away to the North is the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and the Cherokee Indian Reservation. The Smokies have over 800 miles of Hiking alone and if that is not enough the Nantahala and Pisgah National Forest have some of the best un-crowded Trails with many waterfalls. To our East is Asheville, which is just 45 minutes, which host a number of events such as Belle Cher, Honda Hoot, Biltmore Estates and much more. Western Carolina University is a mere 8 miles to our south with the Mountain Heritage Festival and the Summer Arts Festival there is always something for everyone. Our surrounding communities of Franklin, Highlands, Cashiers, Sylva, and Maggie Valley all are within 15 minutes to an hour away and host the best cabin Rentals and campgrounds in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
